About Me
I’m Kirsty Kell, an accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Supervisor, and Tutor. I work privately and with a range of organisations, creating spaces grounded in safety, compassion, and shared humanity.
I believe counselling is built on trust and hope. My role is to walk alongside you as you deepen your awareness of yourself and your experiences, and explore the choices that can lead you toward your goals.
At the heart of my work is transparency - a commitment to truly seeing and hearing what is often left unspoken, so that what is hidden can find space to be understood.

My approach to Therapy
My approach is collaborative and process-led. I work in a trauma-informed way, paying attention not only to your story but also to how your experiences live in your body, emotions, and relationships today.
In sessions, I bring transparency and curiosity, creating space for what is often hidden or unspoken to emerge safely. This reflective approach supports awareness, deeper understanding, and new possibilities for change and growth.
I also bring myself into the relationship with openness and care, doing my best to attune to you in ways that may offer new and reparative experiences.

Supervision
I offer process-led supervision that is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in reflective practice. My approach combines care with accountability, drawing on Transactional Analysis and group process to explore the dynamics that shape your work and to strengthen safe, sustainable practice.
I call this “no shame mentoring” — a safe, compassionate space where you can bring all aspects of your work and life that impact your practice. Whether you are in training, qualified, or working within an organisation, my aim is to walk alongside you as you grow in confidence and clarity in your professional journey.

Group Work
I have extensive training and experience in facilitating groups, and I believe group work offers a unique space for connection, reflection, and growth. In groups, we can often see parts of ourselves more clearly while also learning from the experiences of others.
I offer both group therapy and group supervision, creating safe and transparent spaces where dynamics can be explored, voices heard, and change supported through shared understanding.

Children and Young People
I have specialist training and experience in working with children and young people, shaping approaches that fit the age, needs, and individuality of each person. I believe knowledge is powerful, and I’m passionate about bringing psychological education into the counselling space. This can help young people feel supported, understand themselves more deeply and grow toward their potential.
Where helpful and agreed, I also work collaboratively with parents, offering guidance and insights that can strengthen their understanding of their child’s needs.
"Shame dies when stories are told in safe spaces"
