About Me
My name is Kirsty and I am an accredited Counsellor, Supervisor and Tutor.
I work alongside various organisations as well as in private practice.
I am passionate about fostering a relationship of safety, compassion, shared humanity and hope. I will support you to achieve your goals as you develop a greater awareness of yourself, your experiences and your choices.
Children and Young People
I have specialist training and experience in working with Children and Young People, developing approaches that fit with the needs and the age of each individual. I am passionate about bringing psychological education to the counselling relationship, empowering young people to understand themselves and achieve their potential.
I am also able to work collaboratively, where agreed, with parents to support them to develop approaches and an understanding of their child's needs.
Supervision
Having worked in the counselling profession for many years and teaching levels 2, 3, and 4 in Therapeutic Counselling, I have a wealth of experience that enables me to offer supervision covering many modalities. I am passionate about providing "no shame mentoring"- a safe space to explore all aspects of work and life that may have an impact on you and your counselling practice. I aim to offer a supportive, collaborative professional relationship that will enhance your practice as well as walk alongside you in your professional journey.
Group Work
I have extensive experience and training in facilitating group work and can provide both group therapy and group supervision where required.
Trauma Informed Counselling
I provide specialist counselling using a trauma informed approach to compassionately explore experiences and support you to develop an understanding of how this affects your body, mind and emotions today.
We can work together to develop a new awareness that can promote change for the future.
Costs
Individual counselling sessions are charged at £60 per session. Sessions last 50 minutes.
Supervision is charged at £60 per hour with concessions available for trainees.
